This is a blog for my Radio Documentary MMP. It is currently titled 'Fetish Deprived' but this is subject to change. As my project goes on I hope to find a fun and catchy title that will reference part of the audio piece.
Overall, I want to discover and show how the fetish world in the UK has been effected by COVID-19. People who are involved in the culture and those who work in the industry are quite unlikely to have been furloughed during the peak of the Corona virus. I will be speaking to people at all ends of this unique group to be finding out how their lives have been effected.
I will be speaking to a real life dominatrix to learn about his life in the industry and whether he has been able to make any money during this time. With the 2 meter rule having been in place for the majority of the virus, would the dominatrix have still been able to carry out his work? How has the industry been forced to change because of the current climate?
I am also looking to speak to people who have a fetish, preferably someone who explores the fetish regularly to find out how they're feeling and how the pandemic limits them.
